

Martha Eleanor Clark, born on July 9, 1925, in Hardin County, Kentucky, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 100. A resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Martha was a cherished member of her community.
Martha was a dedicated member of St. James Catholic Church, where she served on the Parish Council, RCIA, PTO, and was an active member of the American Red Cross. She co-founded the well-known Clark Jewelers and hosted Thirsty Thursday weekly for family and friends. Her passions included traveling, playing tennis and bowling, and she was an avid University of Kentucky fan.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas R. Clark Sr.; her parents, James and Elenora Hartlage; her son, J. Neal Clark; and her siblings, Mary Ellen Stiles, James V. Hartlage, Raymond Hartlage, Christine Clark, and Eugene Hartlage.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas R. Clark Jr.(Shari), Kenny P. Clark (Jackie), Kathy Clark, David M. Clark (Dee), Patrick J. Clark (Laurie), Chad M. Clark (Carol); 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her brother, Paul Hartlage; and her daughter-in-law, Micki Clark.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, located at 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, KY 42701, on February 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Another visitation will take place at St. James Catholic Church, 307 W Dixie Ave, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701, on February 25, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial is at St. James Cemetery.
