

He was born in Grancer, KY to the late Delmer and Ardie Lacefield Willoughby on May 4, 1934, and was a Barber from 1962 until 1966. He later worked in sheetrock, retiring in 1994. Mac was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church and had a passion for horses and riding and was a member of the Greenbriar Saddle Club and the Draft Horse Club. He worked hard his whole life, and valued the dollar, He was brave and steadfast, so much so, he wrestled a bull for $100, he lost, but he didn’t back down.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Willoughby; son, Roger Willoughby; two grandchildren, Brice and Brianna Taylor; one step-grandson, Jacob Sims, and six siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Louise Willoughby; children, Curtis (Nancy) Willoughby, Virgil (Cindy) Willoughby and Tonya (David) Taylor; three stepchildren; his siblings, Ruby Jewel Embry and Charles (Linda) Willoughby; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church.
