Myrtle Ann Jones

Myrtle was born in Big Clifty, Kentucky. With her departure, we remember a life lived with compassion, love and deep devotion to her family.

Myrtle was the proud and loving mother of three children—Dale Fox, Melissa Hart (Tony), and Jennifer Whitaker (Steve). She was a cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren—Savanna (Austin), Alana, Emma (Jay), Lianne, Sylvia, Alec, and Hazel; 2 great grandchildren, Stella and Alaire; and the father of her children, Charles W. Fox.

She is also survived by her sister, Betty Hart (Randall); her sister-in-law, Anna Hegstad; her brother-in-law, John Fox, Jr.; and her brother, Roger Kolley (Francis).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Jessie Kolley and Sylvia Kolley; and her brother, George Kolley (Deloris).

Myrtle spent most of her life working at Fort Knox for 32 years as a manager in the food services. She touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Burial follows in Valley Creek Cemetery.

Visitation begins on Saturday at 10:00 AM and continues until the time of service.
