Nancy Lou Lane, aged 70, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky was called home to be with the LORD January 30th 2025 at 11:30 a.m. with her family by her side at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville. Nancy was born November 19th 1954, in Elizabethtown, to Churchill & Nellie Hart. Nancy retired from Ft. Knox where she worked as a telephone operator. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father Churchill Hart, mother Nellie I. Pence, and sister Donna K. Barrett. Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years Randy Lane, along with their three children Dana, Mike, and Kent. Three grandchildren Alen Fox, Jakob Fox, Ashleigh Fox. Three great grandchildren Weston Fox, Bryleigh Fox, Piper Fox. Along with her brothers George & Jimmy Hart.
Her presence illuminated the world, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. The warmth of her smile, the joy of her laughter, and her unwavering kindness will be deeply missed. The love, commitment, and selflessness she demonstrated for her family are immeasurable and will forever be cherished by those she held dear. It is with heavy hearts and tear dimmed eyes, that we must temporarily part with her. We look forward with hope filled hearts to that great day when the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. On that day may we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 3rd from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral will be held the following day Tuesday February 4th at 11:00 am at the LaRue County Church of Christ with visitation that morning at the church from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.
