

Ray was a World War II veteran serving in the Army in Burma and India. He was a longtime member of Eastview Wesleyan and later Trinity Wesleyan Church of Elizabethtown. Ray was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a great friend to his community. He retired from Ireland Army Hospital, and had a passion for farming and talking with his neighbors, friends and even strangers.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" and Annie Johnson; a son, Darrell Ray Johnson; and five brothers, Bill, Marion, James, Bob, and Charles; and one sister, Lovene.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 70+ years, Louise Cundiff Johnson; a son, Kenneth Howard (Teresa) Johnson; two brothers, Johnny and Harold; one sister, Jeanette Johnson; two grandsons, Adam and David; one granddaughter, Tammy Johnston; and three great grandsons, Hunter, Daniel, and Micah.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and continue after 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
