Rita Allen Cornette

She was a native of Ashland, Kentucky, a retired teacher's assistant at Lakewood Elementary, and a member of White Mills Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Thomas Cornette; and her father, Homer Allen.

She is survived by her daughter, Alyson Paige Cornette, mother, Emelie Allen; sister, Judy Campbell all of Eastview; two sister-in-laws, Brenda (Paul) Mullins of Catlettsburg and Leigh Ann (Rex) Adams of Cannonsburg; seven nieces and nephews, Melissa (Robert) Dover, Adam (Jessica) Campbell, Kayla (Nick) Fraley, Amanda (Harbo) Harbison, Brent (Lovell) Mullins, Andrew Adams, and Nicholas Adams; and 12 great nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Tim Dennis officiating. Burial follows at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and continues after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
