

Roger Owen Honaker, age 78 of White Mills, died March 12, 2025 peacefully at home, on the farm he lived on his entire life. Roger was born at home, on the farm, on March 22, 1946, the youngest of five children of Vernon and Hattie Mae Honaker. Roger was blessed to marry his better half, Mary Jo Cole, on May 6, 1971. In their 52 years of marriage, they were blessed beyond measure. Roger was a full-time farmer, along with being an avid collector of coins, arrowheads, and stamps, among other things. Roger was a deacon and an elder at White Mills Christian Church for 40 years, from 1973-2013.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Hattie Mae, along with his brother, Larry, and his sister Janet. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, his son Chris, his daughter Rhonda, and his son Joseph (Kayla). He is also survived by his four precious grandchildren: Isabella, Brantley, Cole, and Holden. He is also survived by his brother, Charlie, and his sister, Navona, and their families.
Roger will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a strong, hardworking man who loved farming, western movies, his family, and the Lord. He was passionate about the farm he so deeply loved, and was blessed to live his life on the same land his family has owned for over 100 years.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, from 4 – 8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, and again on Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Tim Dennis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Honaker, Christopher Honaker, Barry Honaker, Brantley Honaker, Jason Hayes, and Michael Guyton. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole and Holden Honaker. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
