Ruth Virginia Grimes Hornback

She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Stephensburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hornback; parents, Robert and Nannie Lee Clark Grimes; daughter-in-law, Andrea Hornback; five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by four children, Leon Hornback, Howard Hornback, and Katherine (Jim) Gabbard all of Elizabethtown and Connie (Paul) Curtsinger of Glendale; three sisters-in-law, Louise Gimes of Elizabethtown, Mildred Walls of Vine Grove, and Margie Helm of Leitchfield; five grandchildren, David and Brittany Boone of Radcliff, Darrell and Jeana Boone, Crystal Hornback, Steven Hornback, and Michael and Melissa Curtsinger all of Elizabethtown; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Roger McGuffin officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and continues after 12 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
