Shirley Ann Pearson

Shirley was born on August 3, 1935 to Syro Basil and Iva Nettie Hilton, and was the 9th of 10 children. She was a devoted wife, mother, and mamaw. She took great joy in caring for her family, and lived a life with a servant's heart helping others. She was known for her cooking, especially her chocolate cookies, and enjoyed quilting. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a woman of strong faith and served in the church throughout her life especially working with children in the nursery.

She is preceded in death by her son, Danny Allen; brothers Junior, James, Marvin, Roy, and Kenneth, and sisters Lucille, Dorothy, and Helen Rose.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years and caregiver, Ernie Pearson; daughters Pat (Barry) Roberts, Judy (George) Whidby, Joyce Pearson (Greg Billingsley); daughter-in-law Lou Ann

Allen; grandchildren Travis Roberts, Erin Roberts, Matthew (Beth) Allen, Jenna (Jon) Colson, Jacob (Amber) Whidby, and Shannon (Matthew) Peters; great-grandchildren Leyton and Georgia Roberts, Lucy and Annelise Allen, Jase, Clay, and Lily Colson, Brynlee and Maverick Whidby and Abrem Brown, and Anna Feil; and sister June Lewis.

The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
