Teresa Mae Wells

She was born in New Haven, KY to the late John and Hallie Lee Hoback. She eventually moved to Elizabethtown, where she made her home for many years. Many will remember her as the face of Bud’s Fruit Market where she was employed for more than 40 years. Thereafter, she went to work at Priceless in the produce section.

Teresa loved gardening and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds. Roses were her favorite flower. She liked to crochet and participated in family card games.

She is preceded in death by her parents John W. and Hallie L. Hoback; three brothers, James Walter Hoback, John Ronnie Hoback, William Fred Hoback, and one sister Barbara Carol Dewitt.

Survivors include her children, James C. Wells (Stacey) and Melissa Wells (Barry); a sister, Mary Ann Newton; a sister-in-law Shelvy Hoback; four grandchildren, J.J. Wells, Nathan Bennett, Summer Owens, Abagail Wells; and one great-grandchild, Carson Amsden; two nieces, Lois McNear and Hallie Hoback along with several other nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
