

Thomas Millard Disney, 80, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born February 25, 1945, in Harlan, Kentucky, to Charles Gillis Disney and Emma Frances Disney (both deceased). Tom lived a life filled with faith, family, and unwavering dedication.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Linda Carol Disney; his five children, Tara Lynette Powers (Martin) of Brandenburg, KY; Dina Norine Hackert (Jeff) of Brandenburg, KY; Heather Leigh Belisle of Clarksville, Indiana; Matthew Thomas Disney (Tiffanie) of Brandenburg, KY; and Whelan Kassteel Disney of Louisville, KY; fourteen cherished grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Michael Disney of Vine Grove and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom graduated from Valley High School in 1963 and earned a degree in Chemistry from the University of Louisville in 1969. A successful businessman throughout his career, he possessed a remarkable work ethic and a deep-seated commitment to his faith in Christ. His passions were many and included music – he sang in church for most of his life – golf, coaching, and most importantly, his family. He was a devoted University of Louisville Cardinals fan and enjoyed traveling across the country for his business. Above all, he found greatest joy in the simple pleasure of being home with his loved ones. Tom was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and St. Christopher Catholic Church of Radcliff.
His legacy extends far beyond his accomplishments; it is defined by his unwavering loyalty to family and friends, his infectious enthusiasm for life, and his profound love of the Lord. He dedicated countless hours to watching his children and grandchildren compete in sporting events, further exemplifying his unwavering support and devotion.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, on Monday, April 28 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer vigil at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Radcliff, Kentucky, on Tuesday, April 29, at 11:00 am, with visitation at the church from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery in Brandenburg, Kentucky. A bereavement meal will be held at Radiant Ministry Campus of Brandenburg following the burial.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
