Rudy was a man of many talents and interests, known for his love of puzzles, farming, mechanics, and playing his guitar. He was happiest when engaged in activities that allowed him to work with his hands.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Warren Leroy Cornelius and Geneva Coogle; and his sister, Patsy Cundiff.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his beloved wife, Nancy Cornelius; his children, David Cornelius, Brandon Cornelius, and Lauren Cornelius; and his grandchildren, Lillian, Jayden, Isaiah, and Rhiannon; great-grandson, Jaxon. Rudy's best friend, Donnie, and his special side-kick dog, Daisy, will also deeply miss him.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY, on January 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 15, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown, KY.
