

William served in the United States Army during the Korean War and is retired from civil service at Fort Knox. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was a faithful servant of the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pauline Harper; two brothers, David and Cecil Harper; and sister, Opal Brady.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Osie Brady Harper; son Brian (Karen) Harper; daughter Karen Rickett; three grandchildren, Kelsey (Brogan) Wolfe, Sydney (Shane) Beisler, and Erin (Kim) Rickett; and three great grandchildren, Sadie, Rhett and Joel.
The funeral will be Monday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin Monday at 10 a.m. until start of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church or Feeding America.
