Jack Gustave Schuler

Jack was born On March 3, 1964, the son of Victor K. and Elizabeth (Drobena) Schuler. He married Sonia Kasper on April 27, 2002 in Elk Rapids. Jack enjoyed hunting, snow shooing, kayaking, and all the pleasures of the outdoors. Jack had a genuine love for life that was

witnessed by all who knew him through his charismatic nature and optimism. Both friends and strangers found his wit and humor to be unmatched. Jack worked with his father, Victor, in excavating, continuing with Elmer’s and then Reith-Riley before acquiring his own business.

Jack is survived by his wife Sonia Schuler, son Logan Schuler of Ann Arbor, Step Children; Brandon Burry of Traverse City, Carl Singleton of Georgia, and Crystal (Kevin) Giangiobbe of Georgia along with two grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his mother Elizabeth “Betty” Schuler of Torch Lake and his sister Vickie (Bruce) Jacobs of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Victor Schuler.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8pm pm from Covell Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 31, 2010 at11am from Covell Funeral Home, with Rev. Sandra Murray officiating. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be given to the Schuler family.
