Jean E. Mensing

Jean E. Mensing (nee: Braun), age 74 of Rapid City, passed away on July 8, 2016. She was the loving wife of almost 56 years to Gerald. Adored mom of Jacki Musto, Virginia (Eric) Austin and Vicki (Kevin) Roy. Dear grandma of Donald (Beth) Musto, Jennifer (John) Lintemuth, Amanda (Ryan) Atkinson, Katherine (Aaron) Carpenter, Alexander Roy, Sarah Austin, Brian Roy and Samantha Austin. Great grandma of 5. Sister of Craig Braun and Shirley Furget. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; James and Ruth Braun, brother, Terry and sister, Karen. Jean was a member of the Traverse City Happy Tappers for 15 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Traverse City Senior Center. She also volunterred her time with the Milton Township Election Board. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016 with visitation beginning at 11am at Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids. Burial will follow at South Milton Township Cemetery.
