

Keith Charles Reynolds, age 84, of Williamsburg passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2017. Keith was born on October 21, 1932 in Hornell, New York. While living in San Diego in 1960, Keith met his future wife, Jan. They were married November 18, 1961.
Keith grew up hunting, trapping and fishing. As a young boy, he had his own trap line to earn extra money. Upon graduating from high school in Almond, New York, he entered the Navy and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the flight deck catapult crew on carriers USS Roosevelt, USS Midway, USS Coral Sea and USS Princeton. He was incredibly patriotic for his entire life. After his discharge, he attended LA City College. Upon graduation, he was employed by 3M Corporation and enjoyed a successful career in sales and management He continued his employment with 3M, eventually moving his family around the Midwest and also working for Treck Photographic (VWR). In 1976 he returned to San Diego and became the proud owner of his own business, Reynolds Graphic Arts Corporation, a company he passed on to the employees after 16 years. While living there, Keith captained his boat, “The Halftone”, helping his friends and family bring aboard numerous marlin, swordfish and tuna. Keith enjoyed retirement in Polson, MT, Elk Rapids, MI, and Punta Gorda, FL. He renewed his love of the outdoors with fishing and golf. He also took up painting and enjoyed watercolors in particular.
He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a practical joke whenever possible. He was a good friend and confidant. He loved and cared for his family deeply and was a wonderful husband and father. He will be missed by all.
Keith is survived by the love of his life, his wife Jan Reynolds; his daughters, Jennifer Reynolds and Valerie (Michael) Lawhead; grandchildren, Amber Starks, Dillon Fink and Parker Fink; and two great grandchildren, Brayton Seymour and Record Pawkett. He is also survived by his two sisters, Doris Cuccia and Jane (Joseph) Augustini; his sister-in-law Donna Reynolds and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Blanche Reynolds; brothers John, Richard, Edward and Benjamin, and his sister Norma Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.
Donations in Keith’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Elk Rapids.
