Ben was a native of Baltimore, MD and the son of the late Benjamin and Marie Wingfield. He served in the US NAVY during the Vietnam War. Ben retired from Baltimore Gas & Electric with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed working outside mowing and raising chickens.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Wingfield of the home; son, Ben Wingfield and wife, Pom; daughter, Crystal Armiger and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Jett, Gigi and Abby; sisters, Janice Ballman and husband, Gilbert and Claire Crist and husband, Paul; brother, Jeffrey Wingfield; “like a daughter”, Michelle Morral and husband, Chad and their children, Ashlyn and Chad, Jr. and a large extended family.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 10:00am-12:00pm. All guests are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing per current public health guidelines. Immediately following visitation, A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Meadowridge Memorial Park. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, all guests attending the outdoor committal service in person are asked to bring their own chair.
