On Saturday August 25, 2012 Betty Louise Mullenax, age 88, beloved wife of the late Willis B. Mullenax, Sr., passed away. Loving mother of Willis, Jr. and wife Faye, Cindy, Sheila, Ellery and his wife Wanda, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, also surviving; Lorna Canan and family, Robert Mullenax and family, her niece, nephews and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Huffman.
Betty married Willis in 1943 and traveled with him until he was shipped overseas to serve his country. She worked as a welder, welding in the ship yard and also a nurse while waiting for his return. They established their residence in Severna Park, MD in 1946. She was a Girl Scout leader, a retired Manager for Stanley Home Products and still continued as a sales person. Her family was everything to her, she also enjoyed camping, church, gardening and vacationing.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD on Wednesday, August 29th from 4-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 11 a.m., interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
