I met Brock last year.
When I searched for lawyer of our company.
After some time we became good friends.
I tried to support him when he was under emotional stress. he succeeded  to overcome that crisis and to resume normal life.
Then I heard of the sudden deterioration of his health that ended
with death.

I knew for short time but I miss him so much.

I’m a member of the church Brock has joined, and I was the missionary who interviewed him for baptism. He was one of the first baptismal interviews I ever got to do on my mission, but he had to have been one of my favorites. His story was amazing, and I won’t share all of it with you, but it involved him meeting a wonderful woman and a dream. A dream of something he knew nothing about, but she did. A dream that led her coming back to church, and him finding it. A dream that brought him to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. A dream that brought the two of them together. 
It is because of this restored gospel that I know I’ll see my friend Brock again one day.
When I sat down to interview Brock for his baptism, it immediately felt like he was an old friend and we were catching up. I could tell very shortly into that interview that this man had found Christ, and that he was changing his life and was full of joy because of it. We would talk for the next hour, one of the longest interviews I have done, but I loved every minute of it. I could tell how much this was changing him and how much he loved this church and knew it to be true. He bore his testimony to me multiple times throughout that interview, and I will never forget how the both of us felt. He was ready, if I’ve ever seen it.
It always seems unfair when things like this happen. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a friend pass away around a year after their baptism. I question why it would have to happen.
But the two friends of mine that I’ve had this happen, they were two of the strongest converts I’ve seen, with inspiring stories and powerful testimonies. I know God has a plan, even if I’m confused, hurting, and don’t understand it.
Because like I’ve mentioned, I know I’ll see him again. I know there is life after death. I know in whom I trust, and I know what He has promised. 
I love you Brock, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of your journey in the gospel. You were and are an inspiration to me.

We had so many plans for this year.  We were to have been married in February, possibly on Valentine's Day.  We were going to elope to the bishop's office!  We were so happy and excited!

I understand how you are feeling. Brock helped me when my partner of 30 years passed away in 2021. Brock was the best! He would help others as if no one else in the world existed at the moment. His attention to the task at hand was loyal to the end. We shared a lot of laughs over the past couple of years. As long as you keep his memory, he will always be in your heart and watching over you. May God bless you now and always. May Brock RIP. Gone but never forgotten. 💖😇🙏

I met Brock the end of last year. He left an imprint on my heart. He was a genuine and caring person. I remember one of the last things he told me was, I should join him and Rebecca for West coast swing. I am perfectly sure heaven has a beautiful ballroom, so I will be looking forward to dancing together. This isn’t goodbye although it feels that way. I will definitely see you again at the pearly gates of heaven. May your beautiful soul rest in heavenly peace🙏🏾💜

Here is Brock with his Scoutmaster and surrogate grandfather David Bastien and his mother Genevieve Smuck.  Brock was an Eagle Scout and won Boy Scout of The Year in the State of Maryland in 1996.

This was Brock's first fundraiser with a ballroom dance floor... his first time social dancing in public and he LOVED it!  Rebecca, Brock and some Arthur Murray friends dressed up and danced the night away with Dr. and Mrs. Larry Panlilio-Yapp.

We had so much fun laughing and talking, hanging out with Sonny, Dawson and friends.  The Monroes are like family and were responsible for Rebecca and Brock getting together.  We are eternally grateful 🙏

"Emotional Support Persons", aka ESPIEs, Rebecca Mohammed and Brockston Posner Smuck at Rebecca's brokerage Keller Williams' 2023 award gala.  We danced the night away.  Everyone left while we were still dancing and before we knew it, we were the last ones there.  The DJ played us a bachata song to close out the night with one final dance.

I knew this great man since high school and I’m proud to say he was my friend.  Myself and my wife are devastated by his passing and my thoughts go out to his fiancé and family.

I worked as a bailiff when Brock was an ASA in Baltimore City.  He was the nicest person to work with. Always mild mannered and respectful of everyone he contacted. 

His loss is felt by eveveryone who had the pleasure of knowing him. RIP Brock.

Brock was such a sweet guy and a wonderful dancer. I enjoyed discussing dancing and video games with him. I didn't know him for very long and wish we had more time to get to know each other. My condolences to his fiancee, family and loved ones.

although we have never  met in person, 
I will miss our conversations about 
cats and video games, Japanese whiskies 
And I’ll never forget your famous snack reviews, they were truly the best!

Brock and I went to St. Philip Neri Catholic School together way back in the early 90’s. He was always such a good friend and quite the character. So many fond memories of him. May you rest in peace, Brock.

Brock & Rebecca House Warming (January 20, 2024)

Brock was an original, always authentic and incredible fun. From his contagious laugh to his sharp wit he was always a joy to be around. I met Brock during his days in Ellicott City where he worked at his stepfather’s shop. We became fast friends after one conversation. There were many days spent playing chess, eating all the sushi or driving to NoVa for Egyptian food. The entire time was filled with laughs and singing our hearts out to whatever he had playing in his Jeep. Under the smiles though he was deep, reflective,  and powerfully intelligent. A caring soul that would do anything for those he loved. I never thought he’d be gone so soon.  I am grateful for his friendship. I’m glad that in the last year of his life he got to truly experience love, peace, and happiness. He was one of the good ones and he will be sorely missed.

So sorry for your loss. Thinking of and praying for your family during this difficult time.

This is a picture of Brock with my son Greg when my parents (Brock's Great Aunt Rita and Great Uncle Don) lived next door. I live in this house now, and I have missed seeing Brock here. He and Rebecca were able to come to the house once, and I was looking forward to seeing them many more times, but God intends me to wait until it's my turn to see him... and my parents... in heaven. I will miss you, lovely, sweet Brock.

Brock was unapologetically himself. And that is what I loved most about him. May his memory be a blessing.

This is a tragic reminder of the time we have and the ways we share it with others.  Brock was always good company and a colleague ready to help with the details that make practice better for everyone.
