

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cheuk Eng (known to all as Jimmy), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, on September 9, 2025. Jimmy passed away at the age of 88 after a life filled with love, resilience, and cherished memories.
Born in China on June 10, 1937, Jimmy made the courageous decision to leave his homeland and immigrate to the United States in 1967, seeking greater opportunities for himself and his family.
Jimmy was married to his beloved wife Wai Kuen, and together they raised a beautiful family. He was the devoted father of Dennis Eng (and his wife Catherine) and Simona Eng (and her husband Glen), and a proud grandfather to Elizabette and Annette, who were the light of his life. Jimmy is also survived by his dear brother Tony Eng (and his wife Oneida, with whom he shared many fond memories and a lifelong bond.
Throughout his life, Jimmy remained a person of integrity, kindness, and wisdom. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he will be remembered for his deep devotion to his loved ones, his generous spirit, and the warmth he brought into every room. Jimmy’s legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 south off Route 100) on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 10:00am with interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
