With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edith June Leach, who left us peacefully on March 22, 2024, just shy of her 90th birthday. Eadie's life was a testament to her strength, compassion, and dedication to serving others.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, R. Theodore Leach, Eadie's legacy of love and commitment lives on through her devoted daughters, Cynthia Trumpler (Fred) and Sharon Neall. She was a proud grandmother to Sherri Barnwell (Jason), Jeffrey Neall (Sarah), and Megan Trumpler (Bobby), and a cherished great-grandmother to Caleb and Austin Barnwell, Morgan and Camryn Neall, and Bryce Judy.
Eadie's professional life was marked by her remarkable tenure as a Physical Education teacher and coach at Holy Trinity School and Archbishop Spalding, where she touched the lives of countless students with her passion for sports and personal excellence. Beyond her professional achievements, Eadie served with distinction as the Worthy Grand Matron of the Maryland Order of the Eastern Star and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, embodying their values of faith, service, and community.
Eadie also contributed significantly to her community as an election judge, dedicating her time to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and teaching others to do the same. Her love for sports, particularly the Orioles, was infectious, and she found great joy in watching her grandchildren participate in their various sports activities. An avid traveler, crafter, and gardener, Eadie's hobbies reflected her love for life and her constant pursuit of new experiences.
As we say goodbye to Eadie, Mom, Grammie, Gee Gee, Great Mom Mom, we also celebrate her life and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to ProMedica Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
