

DENTON – Emma Jane (Wellman) Wagner of Denton, MD passed away, April 19, 2015 at the Envoy Center in Denton, after complications with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 86 years old. She was born November 21, 1928 in Pactolus, KY to the late Earl Franklin Wellman and Cecil Barnhill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Wagner, Sr. of Severn, MD. Emma and Charles were married in 1957 and resided in Severn until 1989, at which time, they retired to Caroline County, MD on the Eastern Shore.
Emma retired from her position as a Central Service Technician at North Arundel Hospital in Glen Burnie, MD, currently the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
When she was not working, she enjoyed her pets, crocheting, listening to country music and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Jennifer Jane (Lawhorn) Dawson of Ashburn, VA, Alfred Kent Lawhorn of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Charles Edward Wagner, Jr. of Glenville, PA and Jody Lynn Wagner of Denton, MD, in addition to her three grandchildren, Amanda Jane Dawson, of Leesburg, VA, Michael Grant Dawson of Toronto, Ontario and Janessa K. Lawhorn of Seattle, WA.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100) on Thursday April 23rd 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
