On November 4, 2011, Ethel May Smithson (nee Rodney), age 92, beloved wife of the late C. Donald Smithson, Sr., passed away. Loving mother of Rosanne Piper and husband, Gene Sr., Jerry Smithson and wife, Jackie, Mary Weaver, Beverly Stevens and husband, Gary, Teresa Smithson and husband, Bill Morris, the late Patricia Smithson and the late C. Donald Smithson, Jr., also surviving her beloved grandchildren; Gene Piper, Jr., Patty Giddings, Eric Weaver, Jeffrey Smithson, Shannon McCain, Lauren Watkins, Jason Smithson, Kate Morris, Ben Morris, nine great-grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011, where funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. The interment will be held in St. John Catholic Church Cemetery off Main Street in Rock Hall, Maryland.
