Gerald "Jeff" Raymond Gauvin

On Tuesday, November 25, 2014, Gerald "Jeff" Raymond Gauvin of Elkridge, MD, formerly of Hyattsville, MD died at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Eleanor "Westy" C. Gauvin. Loving father of Owen J. Gauvin and his wife Teresa, Michael R. Gauvin and his wife Alisa, Anita D. Mills and her husband Bill and Michelle M. Jordan and her husband John; dear brother of Paul Gauvin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gauvin was born on November 3, 1925 in New Bedford, Massachusettes. He served as a Medical Corpsman, U.S. Navy, Southwest Pacific Theatre of Operation (World War II) and was discharged in July of 1946. He attended Sir George Williams College and entered McGill University in 1947. He retired from the Federal Government as a Physical Scientist. He was a Scout Leader for many years at St. Mary's Church in Landover Hills, MD, a member of St. Vincent DePaul and the Knights of Columbus.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Elkridge, MD. at 10:00am. Interment Meadowridge memorial Park.
