

Gordon “Lucky” Eliott Seaman, age 82 passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Lucky is preceded in death by his Mother, Myrtle “Moe” Louise Hott; Step-Father, Raymond Jones; Father, Paul “Woody” Seaman; Step-Mother, Effie Seaman; Beloved Wife of 29 years, Mary Martha Seaman; Mary “Sandy” Wojochowski. Gordon is survived by his Daughter, Laura Kay Sloan; Sons, John Dennis (Thelma), Paul Dennis (Krystin), and Michael Dennis (Kimberly); Grandchildren, David Wojochowski, Jason Wojochowski, Steven Lee Evans, Shannon Evans, Amanda Zigenhein, Paul Dennis, Jr., Mike Dennis, Colin Dennis, and Noah Dennis; Great-Grandchildren, Jase Dennis and Camden Dennis.
Lucky led a life of service and craftsmanship. His careers spanned from Coal Miner to production supervisor for a glass manufacturer. Lucky was also an aircraft mechanic and Material Control in the Air Force to the rank of Sergeant. He retired from the Army National Guard at the rank of Staff Sergeant. After serving in the United States Army, he became an active member of the Freemasons and was a Noble in the Shriners, contributing to numerous charitable endeavors and community events. Simultaneously, Lucky was also involved with the Jay Cee’s of Desoto County, Mississippi, where he helped young adults develop leadership skills and business connections. Lucky also was a volunteer in the Lion’s Cub, played first basemen on a men’s softball team, and coached the women’s softball team.
Outside of his endeavors, Lucky enjoyed time with family. He was very involved in raising his 4 step-children. In his retirement, he and his wife Mary crafted beautiful children’s toy boxes, Christmas decorations, lawn ornaments, furniture, and indoor decorations, sharing their creations with family and friends. Lucky’s skill extended to building gun stocks, gun racks, and shadow boxes.
A visitation for Lucky will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM immediately following the visitation. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
