Sergeant Jesse Caldwell Fly of Hanover died September 18, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness from dementia. He was born on April 30, 1931 in Milan, Tennessee.
Jesse graduated from Sledge High School, Sledge, Mississippi. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, gardening, woodworking, and rooting for the Baltimore Orioles. On October 3, 1954, he married Lois Fly of Brownsville, Pennsylvania; children- Jeffrey Fly of Glen Burnie, Maryland; Linda Schmidt of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; Richard Fly of Baltimore, Maryland; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for retired Sergeant Jesse Caldwell Fly will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church, 1239 Murray Road, Odenten, Maryland 21113. Burial will be at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
