

On Friday, March 24, 2017, Kenneth "Ken" Allen Lewis, Sr. of Baltimore, MD and Tampa, FL. Beloved husband of Norma Lewis, Loving father of Darla D. Lewis Stanley and her fiancé Dave, Crista S. Lewis Anna and her husband Greg, Michael J. Harris, Jr. and his wife June, Jason Harris and his fiancé Jennifer and the late Kenneth Allen Lewis, Jr.. Brother of Patricia Lewis Porter and the late James Ira Lewis and Ronald Lee Lewis. Devoted grandfather of Luis, Michael, Brooke, Jacqueline, Kaitlyn, Kenneth, III, Justice and Matthew. He is also survived by his Great-Grandchildren Phoenix and Sawyer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ken was 77 years old. He was born in the tiny coal mining town of Bonny Blue, Virginia to Junior (Oliver) Lewis and Jewell Wallen. Searching for greater opportunity, the family left Bonny Blue and settled in Baltimore where they had a few relatives. He graduated from Southern High School, where he learned his trade from teacher Charles Anderson. He befriended Lee Horowitz, another Southern teacher who would become his lifelong mentor and business partner. After graduation Ken joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Tampa Florida. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Baltimore and started his own machine shop under the name of Kenlee Precision. Ken married and had 3 children That marriage ended in divorce and in 1986 he married Norma Redman
He was a man who loved his work and the challenge of making precision parts for a variety of industries. Ken loved people, travel, fishing, boating, cooking and entertaining. He was a good Christian, a Mason and proud veteran.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100 south) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Johns Hopkins Heart & Vascular Institute, 600 N. Wolfe Street, Blalock 524, Baltimore, MD 21287
