Melvin Edward Gardner Sr., “Mel”, age 94, of Centreville, Maryland passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Devoted husband of over sixty years to the late Evelyn June Gardner. Loving father of Melvin Gardner Jr. and his wife Mary, and Suzy Gardner. Cherished brother of George Gardner and the late Mildred Harding. Beloved grandfather of Angela Holocker and her husband Bryan, and Michael Gardner. Melvin is also survived by his great-grandchildren Zachary Holocker, Kelley Holocker, Maura Gardner, and Michael Gardner. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 12:00pm with interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
