Nancy Lee Poehlman, age 71, of Hanover, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rose Commander, and her Beloved Husband, Norman Poehlman, II.
Nancy is survived by Loving Children, Megan Forslund (Michael), Meredith Hannam (John-Pierre), Martha Poehlman, and Madeline Poehlman; Dear Siblings, Richard Commander and Mark Commander (Jamie); Cherished Grandchildren, Emma Forslund, Jackson Ahlas, Phoenix Ehrhart, Taylor Robinson, and TJ Robinson.
Nancy had a passion for the arts and found joy in drawing, knitting, and cooking. She loved music of all genres, and made many deep, lasting friendships through internet message boards, where she was known for her empathetic spirit and supportive nature. Above all, Nancy found peace and happiness in the beauty of a vibrant South Florida sunset over the Gulf, which was her favorite sight.
Nancy’s kindness and open heart made her a confidante and friend to many, leaving a lasting impact on those who she encountered. Her ability to listen and empathize brought comfort and solace to friends both near and far.
Nancy will be laid to rest with her husband Norman at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
