On the eve of December 26, 2022, with family close by her side, Nellie Marie Lewis, 89, peacefully joined the open arms of her creator above. She was born to the late Silas Rexie and Estella Dingley in Fulton County, Pennsylvania on September 12, 1933. All through life, Nellie was right there in support of her late husband’s numerous extracurricular activities and the prideful passion and delight of family and friends and all of their accomplishments. One of her most beloved passions in life, passed on by her mother, was the love of quilting whom Nellie shared with her late sister, Olive. She went on to complete a fulfilling career with the District of Columbia Children’s Center located in Laurel, Maryland.
