Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you. I miss you so much Lil brother….. it’s hard real hard for me.  Why I keep asking myself why?? 
Until we up again I’ll be here alone and crying for you. 

It’s been 2 years since you left this world. I will carry you in my heart always and forever..... I love you!!!!!

Rangy not a day goes on that I don’t think about you. I miss our  text messages and phone calls. You were an amazing brother who always made me laugh. My heart is so broken.  I know you are not suffering anymore. I love you and miss you deeply .  My gossip partner❤️❤️❤️

The celebration of life gathering just a few weeks ago was touching, sad, and uplifting, but everything was said.

And being said, that allows—at least the way that I see it—for the time around the funeral to be as it ought to be, neither about nor for the dead, but about and for the living.

So in that spirit, let me address you.

I was fortunate to attend Darrell and Randy's union, two decades or so ago.  

And what has stayed with me ever since about that day is Randy's family.  

You didn't just come, you came!

You were boisterous, loud, and emphatic in your embrace of Darrell.

It was of no concern to you that the spouse that Randy had chosen was a man, nor that he was an African American.

That is not always so.

So the fact that you were so emphatic told me, all those years ago, that Randy came from good people.

Good people.

Darrell deserved that embrace from you back then simply because all people in those circumstances do.

But in the years since, his union with Randy has fulfilled your embrace of him on that day beyond all measure, beyond all measure.  

So Darrell has not only deserved your embrace, but he has earned it, many many times over, because of the love that he showered on Randy.  

And never more-so, never more-so, than when he allowed Randy to go.

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

It is a comforting verse.  

But if it isn't made to happen, it is just empty poetry. 

Now is the time for you—and for us all—to bring it to life.  

For just as Darrell deserved your emphatic embrace two decades ago, just as he has more than completely fulfilled and earned it in all the years since, so he needs it from you now, more, and more emphatically, than ever.

Randy is no longer able to take care of his baby himself.

So he would want that of you, now.  

And he would expect that of you, now.

He would want and expect that of us all, now.

I could write for hours but I won't me Donna Randy grew up together and played and fought as kids do but we loved each other and grew up together! My favorite memories of DD was him racing grams old Pontiac up and down 29 and pretending to be a cop! And all the free dinners we got from the seafood house in Burtonsville!  You will always be my cousin and I'll miss you dearly! I'm glad you are no longer suffering or in pain until we meet again Rip love you!

I did not have much time with Randy but the things that I know of him him is that he was a sweet and kind soul ! I wish I had more time with him. Fly high Randy until we meet again! You will be missed !

When I met Randy, I met him through Darrell and I had not seen Darrell this happy in a long time. Randy was such a great person and I enjoyed talking smack to him about his cowboys and with me being a skins fan made for some funny and entertaining conversations. But on the flip side when I had personal things going on and I would talk to Randy and Darrell about them they would listen comfort me and never judge and with the love they had between the to of them i knew that there was a such thing called as true love and I have always strived to reach what they had. I love you Randy and Darrell Mcarthy. 

Reflecting back on the events of the last few weeks, and the many years I've known Randy, I came to realize the deep significance of the example he set, and rare and unexpected purity of his character.  One act of kindness towards a stranger caused  a dramatic transformation, and the reverberations of that act will continue to grow and echo for a lifetime.  

Randy started everyday with a smile as he thought of what was possible. He demonstrated how to live, love, respect, and cherish those around him, while living life to the fullest. He showed us that "Everything We Want is on the Other Side of Fear," and that it's more important to "Collect Moments, Not Things."

Randy stood tall in the face of fear, never worrying about what others had to say. As such, he's given me the strength and courage to provide this testimonial.  "Our Story"... until now, it's never been told.

Not just my brother in law he became my brother and he will truly be missed by his niece, nephew and myself. Rest on until we meet again. I love you soo much!!!

RIP Randy no more pain and suffering you will surely be missed.Ever time you came to see me you always left with something. You used to come to all my Halloween parties I had for the kids and scare the kids.You will be dearly be missed and never forgotten. Love Aunt Lois?😇
