Rita Ann Shamer

On January 22, 2019 Rita Ann Shamer (nee Greenfield), beloved wife of the late Tilghman A. Shamer, Sr. and the devoted mother of Jacquelyn M. Goldhammer (Lee), Tilghman A. Shamer, Jr. (Randi) and David J. Shamer (the late Michele); dear sister of Estelle M. Miller and the late Nelson J. Greenfield, Jr., Edwina Cogill, Anthony Greenfield and Evelyn Petraitis; cherished grandmother of Jennifer R. Tucker, Joshua D. Southworth, Joel C. Southworth, Tilghman (Trey) Shamer III, Jeremy L. Goldhammer and the late Melisa R. Shamer; Rita is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church 711 Maiden Choice Ln., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family wishes donations to be made in Rita's name to Gilchrist Hospice 11311 McCormick Rd., Ste. 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
