Ruth Marie Kramer passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born in Pennsylvania, Ruth was the daughter of Raymond and Mary Wetzel. She is lovingly remembered by her children, John Raymond Kramer and Mary Catherine Choplick; her five siblings; her twenty-three cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends, neighbors, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Louis Kramer; her children, Karen Marie Albert and Harry Louis Kramer, Jr.; her grandsons, Nicholas “Bam” Albert and Jason Patrick Jachelski; and her brother, Gene Raymond Wetzel.
Ruth will be remembered for her gentle soul and strong spirit. She lived with humility and kindness, and her practical wisdom guided those around her. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked hard throughout her life and found joy in life’s simple pleasures - especially quiet evenings spent fishing. When someone would ask Ruth what she thought about while she fished, she would answer “absolutely nothing.”
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with a luncheon held afterward.
