I just saw this obituary so my apologies for the lateness of this note.  My sincerest condolences to Frank and family on Shirley’s passing.  I met Shirley and Frank at the dialysis center when my dad was a patient there along with Shirley.  Frank was always there to help her get settled and to pick her up at the end of the treatment. She always tried to keep a bright face through a process that is terribly hard on the patient.  We had some good chats on days when I would take my dad in for treatment.  I last saw her in 2021, so I’m actually glad that she was able to enjoy another 2 years of life with Frank.  And Frank, you were so kind and helpful and loving to her—-your love for her shined through all of her difficult days. Mommom I really wish this was a dream and we didn’t have to say goodbye I’d do anything in the world to hear your voice again to get a phone call or to hear you say I love you bunches honey to have a camping trip or watch you play with maddelynn I miss you so much and saying goodbye is going to suck but I do know heaven gained a beautiful angel and I want to say thank you for being the best mommom to all of us kids and great grandkids we couldn’t have asked for anyone else you were always there when we needed you. My heart is so full of love and memories of my childhood friend! We met when we were about 13 or 14 years old , and a lasting friendship started . My first memory of my sweet friend Shirley, was just how beautiful she was! She had the prettiest eyes, smile and, oh my goodness she had those gorgeous dimples! When she walked into a room it lit up with rays Sunshine! We visited each other's homes quite often after we got married, and had babies around the same time. Our husbands became very good friends as well. They were like Mutt and Jeff, Francis was so tall and my husband was a mere 5 ft! But they enjoyed each other's company so much! It nearly broke my heart when Shirley started to have health issues and it seemed like we could not find an answer! She hung on for so long because of the love of her family! Shirley and I had the same family beliefs, we always put them first! I thank God for our friendship through the years and also thank him for letting her see her children raised and to enjoy her precious grandchildren! Shirley and Francis had a true love story. It was always a blessing to see them take care of each other! Francis, I mourn with you, and pray for you and your loving family. May we all see one another one day in the presence of Our Lord! What an amazing day that will be!

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Steele/Anson family. There is no one in this world like your Wife, Mother and MomMom.  Shirley was a special person, and she will always be with each of us. We, too, share fond memories of her with her family and friends during camping trips, car shows and various vacations. May all your wonderful memories of Shirley comfort you during this heartbreaking time; those joyful memories continue to live on through each of us and give us the strength to move forward. They’re so connected to us that they become a part of us. 

Those we love are sometimes taken way too soon.  Loss of a loved one leaves a heartache that no one can heal.  Love leaves a memory that no one can steal.  





I want to say I love you so much. You were the best knifer I have ever and will ever know 😀. You were my favorite mother in law but you always had to say you were my only mother-in-law.You never made me feel like I wasn’t apart of everything. I truly miss you but am so happy that you are no longer in pain and suffering. I always enjoyed our time at the fire talk late at night camping when others couldn’t hang. Thank you for always treating me like a son and not son-in-law. Hopefully now that you are in heaven you can finally get a BUTT. HAHA

It’s hard to believe that you are gone. I miss you so much everyday!! I will cherish all of the beautiful memories we made throughout my entire life. You were my second mom that I could always come to you for anything. I was so happy to be able to be with you everyday this past year and help you with all your appointments and everything. I’m gonna miss watching our price is right or let’s make a deal in the mornings before your appointments. I’m gonna miss hearing when you fell asleep on the couch and I would get up and you would see I wasn’t there you would instantly call my name out. I have so many memories and will always cherish everything we did together and everything you showed me growing up. I love you more than words can describe!!

My mommom was the best mommom ever she was the most caring and thoughtful person she would defend anyone she cared about even if she knew you were wrong. I will always remember all the good times we had. All the laughs we shared. All the nights watching family fued and holding onto that remote for dear life. But most of all I know she will always be with me because she loved my and my wife so much she gave us the nicknames golden boy and golden girl. She could tell that my wife was the one for me as soon as they met she told her so. I will miss her dearly in physical form but I know she will be with me in spirt I feel her presence. I will always love you mommom.

I cannot put into words how very much I miss you. I LOVE YOU more than life itself and I don't know how I will continue my days without you. I will forever be grateful to my husband for allowing me to retire and have the extra year and a half with you to care for you and shower you with the love you deserve and needed. I will always cherish those memories and you. You were the best MOTHER and MOMMOM to my kids and I'm so glad you had that special bond.

We met Shirley , Frank and Lisa and her Daughter Ashley  on a Royal Carribean cruise in 2022. We instantly loved them all. Shirley felt bad most  days but she smiled and enjoyed life each day . Her smile was infectious. She was a very special lady . Our deepest condolences  to all the family . Heaven is better with Shirley in it .  

Mommom, you were the best grandmother a granddaughter could ask for. I will cherish the memories we made together forever and always. Me and Elena miss you dearly. I love you with all my heart.
