William Palmer Sperry Jr., age 83, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024; He was born in Frostburg, MD to parents, William Palmer Sr. and Ellen Marie Sperry; William was a proud and dedicated Marine, whose love for his country and his family was the cornerstone of his life.
William was an avid fan of both the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles, always enjoying a good game. He found joy in simple pleasures, like watching Westerns and history programs on television, reading Western comic books, and listening to country music. He had a deep affection for the outdoors, particularly the mountains of West Virginia and Western Maryland, where he enjoyed countless visits throughout his life.
Above all, William cherished his family. He was a proud father and grandparent, and the love he shared with his family was unmatched. Married for 56 wonderful years to the love of his life, Joyce, their bond was a testament to his devotion and commitment.
Loving father of Diana Czajkowski and her husband Vincent, and Kathleen Wurstner and her husband Steven; Cherished grandfather of Daniel and Kevin Czajkowski, and Sarah and Nicole Wurstner; and great-grandfather of Liam Morales; Dear brother of Russell Sperry and Della Gleeson.
William had a fondness for good food, with a special love for steak and potatoes with butter, as well as steak and eggs. He also enjoyed target shooting, finding peace in the precision of the sport.
William will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his love for family, and his deep pride in his service as a Marine. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
