

Marilyn J. (Porter) Kryger Corbin was born November 22, 1928 and passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her loving children on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was 84 years old. Marilyn was born in Thorp, WA to Gerald and Dorna Porter, and graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1947. In 1950 she married James J. Kryger and they had six children; he preceded her in death in November 1977. In 1983 she married Leonard Corbin; he preceded her in death in October 2008. Marilyn worked for Weyerhaeuser for many years as a computer operator then after retiring she spent her winters in Arizona and summers volunteering for several Washington State Parks. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, painting, and working in her garden.
She is survived by her six children; Michael Kryger (Cally), Gerald Kryger (Trina), Pamela Minium (Mark), Janet Rose (Eddie), Joanne Baughman (Nick), and Lori Kaiser (Donald). She is also survived by her sister Geraldine Creed of Milton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her best friend Casey, her cat.
Graveside service will be held at Thorp Cemetery in Thorp, WA on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Cottage in the Meadow Hospice in Yakima WA.
