Paula Ann Romeo

Paula Ann Romeo, 59 of Ellensburg, left this world on Thursday march 8 2012 in Ellensburg, WA after a 15 year battle with cancer. Paula was well known in the community, having worked at Central Washington University's Athletic Department for 27 years, until cancer forced her to retire from the position of Assistant Athletic Director. She was also a graduate of Central Washington University with a Masters Degree in English.

Paula was an avid reader and especially enjoyed Civil War history. She also enjoyed cross stitch and knitting. This enabled her to make blankets for Project Linus, which provides blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

Paula was born in Queens, NY on April 2, 1952 and is survived by her parents, Vincent and Francis Romeo of Ellensburg, WA; sister Lucretia (James) Taylor of Ellensburg, WA; nephew David (Molly) Taylor of Moxee, WA; niece Melissa Petersen of Ellensburg, WA; grand-nieces Taylor Petersen and Tiffany Stewart, and grand-nephews Caleb Petersen and Brock Taylor.

A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt, Paula was loved and will be missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Andrews Church in Ellensburg.
