

Paula Sheere Weeks, 58 of Ellensburg, quietly passed away on the morning of October 28th with family at her side. She had been suffering from chronic liver failure for the past year. Paula was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Doctors Earl and Martha Hargett. The majority of Paula’s childhood was spent at various places as her father was in college administration. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Illinois and later received an Associate’s Degree from Lincoln College also in Lincoln, Illinois. She further advanced her education at Boonesville Junior College with a practical nursing Degree. She moved out to Washington in December of 1980 to be with Joe Weeks her later declared husband. They were married for 30 years. They have lived in various locations in Eastern Washington finally coming to Ellensburg in 2001 and have been at their current address since then.
She had numerous jobs in the Ellensburg community and spent a good deal of her time doing various craft projects at home.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother; a sister Susan; and one child William Forrest Weeks. Living relatives include her husband Joe Weeks; a sister Kendra Weiss; brother Gil Hargett and sister-in-law Joy Hargett; one son, Sergeant Paul Joseph “PJ” Weeks (USMC stationed at Camp Pendleton California) and daughter-in-law Diana Weeks; grandson William Oliver Weeks; and various nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be offered on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 3PM-7PM at Steward & Williams Tribute Center in Ellensburg. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery on Brick Road. Arrangements are being made through Steward & Williams Tribute Center.
