My little angel Summer; saying goodbye is the hardest and greatest emotional challenge of my entire life. Everyday with you was a joyful blessing and just because you couldn't speak doesn't mean you did not have a lot to say. You could never tell mommy anything but your heart and soul showed me the world thru different eyes. You taught me how to hear you without speaking. For 10 years you smiled and filled every ones hearts with laughter. No matter how bad of a day you were having you never complained, although I know you often hurt~ You made the world a better place!
Summer, you were forever happy and overloaded with joy approaching life with wonder and fascination. You lit up a room with your spirit and your laughter and made the world smile back at you. Sometimes when it is quiet I can hear you laughing softly in my mind, your spirit dancing for eternity in my soul. Your energy lingers still and will forever in my heart and soul. Now you are free to run and play with all the other children you loved so much, dance in the flowers, sing with the birds and kiss the butterfly's! Gone from this earth but your soul will live forever and you will never be forgotten my little Summer girl. Mommy loves you and misses you my angel~ until I see you again, butterfly kisses.
Biography
Summer Jean Strand arrived into this world on January 19, 2006 weighing 5 pounds 11 ounces. What a beautiful bundle of joy. It wasn't too long before we knew she was a very special child. As a toddler, after much testing, Summer was diagnosed with RETT syndrome, a chromosomal abnormality. It made no difference to those of us who loved her...she was a perfect gift from God.
Summer lived a very simple life...she loved colored lights and especially the butterfly lights in her bedroom. She loved to laugh and smile and communicated love though her eyes and leaning in to give us special kisses. She loved her Disney and Pixar movies and could watch them over and over again. She also really loved watching her sister Brook motocross race...getting excited hearing the engines roar by and seeing her sister do "triples", "whips" and "scrubs". Summer loved to go to stores with her mother experiencing the many people, sights and sounds. Her mother always called her "princess" and Summer loved to be dressed up in one of her many princess dresses and crowns that were part of her wardrobe.
Summer was a very happy child and she brought so much happiness to everyone she came in contact with. Summer passed from this world on July 23, 2016 and went home to be with Jesus in Heaven.
