Bonnie Joyce Purvis, 73, of Ellenton, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 13, 2025. Bonnie was born on January 25,1952 to Park and Jewell (Church) Purvis. She was raised in Ellenton and graduated from Palmetto High School in 1970. She worked at the Manatee County School Board for 35 years.
Bonnie was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Bonnie will be remembered for her sense of humor, amusing anecdotes and engaging personality.
Bonnie is survived by her son Shawn Isom of Ellenton, son Eric (Amanda) Isom of Lakeland, brother Jerry Purvis of Ellenton, brother Ed (Hilda) Purvis of Bradenton, and grandchildren Courtney, Ethan, and Erica.
Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton. Visitation starts at 10:00am, Funeral service at 11:30am with burial to follow.
