Ellen S Litchfield

Ellen “Ellie” C. Sheehan Litchfield, 92, of Lake Placid, FL, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Good Sheppard Hospice House in Sebring, FL. Ellie was born on January 7, 1933 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Francis Edward and Carolyn Emma (Triem) Sheehan. Ellie was a telephone operator in her early years. She became a loving wife to George A. Litchfield, the love of her life on July 21, 1972 in Winter Haven, FL. She loved to work in the yard, loved to read and talk on the phone to her family and friends. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Lake Placid, FL.

Ellie is survived by her step-daughter, Kim Ballard (Danny) of Branford, FL; step-son, Andy Litchfield of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren, Christi and Adam; two great grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew; 4 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins and one special loving, caring caregiver/friend/family Angela Moore of Lake Placid, FL.

Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Litchfield; her parents, Francis and Carolyn (Triem) Sheehan; brothers, Frank Triem and Robert Sheehan; sisters, Mary Alice Wahlstrom and Susan Rowland.

An 11:00a.m. gravesite service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Mansion Memorial Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave E. Ellenton, Florida.

Ellie was a wonderful person who has blessed many lives of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
