Fernande Verdell Mullins

Fern was born in Louiville, Kentucky to John Andrew Mullins and Rose Wells and raised on a farm. She graduated from Greensfork High School in Waynes County Indiana of 1944 where she received her High School Diploma.

Fern worked as a data entry for Sunshine Tag Agency for over 20 years where she served not only the public but her community. She was a caretaker of her daughter till she passed at 72. She was also a caretaker for many not only her daughter, she really loved to help others. Fern loved to cook for others and truly made everyone feel special in every meeting.

She is survived by one brother David Mullins (married to Flossie). She is survived by her grandson Justin Wade Mullins, and one granddaughter Jenna Lynn Stem (married to Tyler Stem). In addition, she is survived by 2 adorable great granddaughters Sadie and Tatum Stem. She is survived also by her daughter in law Tana Mullins who was married to Roger Wade Mullins (passed). Fern is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all wonderful and vast in amount. Finally, she is survived by her best friend Gina Callahan.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Rose Mullins. She is also preceded by daughter Rose Elaine and her son Roger Wade Mullins, and her siblings John Mullins Jr. (his wife Neiva), Thelma Maggard (married to Burton "Clay" Maggard), Juanita Mullins, Vivian Speckner (married to Carl Speckner).

A burial will be held at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial park inside the chapel at 2:00 pm on the 28th of April.

Followed by refreshments and a celebration of life inside Groover Funeral Home.
