She excelled as a college student at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL where she majored in History.
She served as President of OTA, was named to the Dean's List and the honorary Green Key Society. She graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor's degree. Later in life she earned a Master's degree at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Freda began teaching in 1964 in Duval County at Terry Parker High School where she became Assistant Principal. Later she moved to Broward County in 1981 where she taught at Rickards Middle School and Dillard High School until retirement in 1996.
Freda enjoyed her retirement and spent many hours playing her favorite card game, Bridge, at which she was an expert. She moved to Palmetto, FL, became an active member of First Baptist Church, Palmetto Historical Commission and Friends of the Library.
Freda is survived by two sisters, Thelma Logan-Perkins and Daty Logan Montgomery, a brother Fred G. Logan, Jr. and lots of nieces and nephews.
