

Jim was born on January 18, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Omer and Clara Beilstein. He grew up in Millbury, Ohio, and attended Lake High School before later relocating to Manatee County, Florida.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Following his military career, he continued his commitment to service as a building inspector for Manatee County. He later retired from Disney World. Jim was also a proud member of the Florida Chief Petty Officers Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elke Beilstein; his son, Thomas Beilstein (Kimberly); his daughter, Sabrina Beilstein; and his sister, Judy Woyame (Joe). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Cameron Beilstein, Brant Brown (Cassandra), Alex Brown, Megan Jones, and Parker Jones, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Calmes (Donald).
Jim had a deep appreciation for architecture and built homes in North Carolina, Ohio, and Florida. He was an avid runner who participated in numerous marathons, including the Gasparilla and Disney races. After moving to Florida in the 1980s, Jim embraced the coastal lifestyle, finding joy in boating, fishing, and, above all, spending time with his family.
Jim will be remembered for his dedication, discipline, and love for his family. His legacy of service and craftsmanship lives on in the many lives he touched.
A visitation will be held on February 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, located at 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL, 34222.
The funeral service will follow on the same day from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location.
A committal service will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, also at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park.
