I just found out about Helen's passing as I tried to reach out to invite her for Thanksgiving.  I am so sad to hear that she passed away and that we missed her funeral.  She was like a second grandmother to our daughter.  We knew Helen from church.  She used to say that she was there from the beginning with our daughter, as we knew each other prior to becoming pregnant, and now my daughter is 14 years of age.  As Helen used to say, I have been here for Amelia's whole being.   Helen made the best candied nuts at Christmas and grew the most beautiful orchids.  She always had the most beautiful smile on her face, and she made anyone feel welcome.  Helen will be greatly missed by her church community, family, and friends.
