

Juan Manuel Reyes, 63, of Palmetto, passed on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 2, 1957. He was the son of the late Bernabe Reyes Sr. and Genoveva (Villarreal) Reyes. Juan was an incredibly hard working and well-loved man. He made many friends and cherished the relationships he formed over the years. Without fail he had endless jokes and stories to tell, always filling the room with smiles. Juan had a passion for fabrication of boats and was highly skilled in cabinetry and carpentry. He was a manager for Ace Hardware in Palmetto and a member of Crossroads Christian Church. He was also an officer at the Palmetto Moose Lodge where he often enjoyed his evenings joking with friends after a hard day of work, ultimately ordering Juan-more. Mr. Reyes is survived by his son Jason (Jennifer) Reyes; his grandchildren, Morgan, Madyson, Meredith and one great granddaughter Elena; his daughter Adrianne (Brent) English; his grandchildren, Hunter, Tucker, Mason; his 7 siblings, Gilbert Valdez Sr., Margarita R. Reyna, Irene Guzman, Ruben Reyes, Jose Reyes, Julie Lane, Rosea Zuniga. Tio Manuel took joy and pleasure in passing along his knowledge and skills to his many nieces and nephews. Juan is preceded in death by his sisters Benita Hernandez, Juanita R Luna and Natalia Reyes; brothers Pablo Reyes, Alegandro Reyes, Bernabe Reyes Jr., Vidal Valdez.
