He began his journey on October 11, 2004, and quickly found a home in the hearts of all who knew him. From an early age, the story of Timmy was one woven from the smiles he brought to light and the friends he inspired along the way. He pursued life with a passion and vigor enough for any three people. Whether he was a wide-eyed kid causing his mom gray hairs or a stalwart young man stepping up and offering a helping hand to anyone in need, Timmy was a living monument to a family's love, a hero's strength, and a steadfast determination to brighten everyone's day.
From lacrosse and longboarding to weightlifting and training camps, from raiders state championship and clearing burn towers. He loved the poetry of motion, the rush of striving to cross the next hurdle.
He is survived by his parents, Catherine Miley-Hayden and Roger Miley Sr.; his stepfather, Gregory Hayden; his siblings, Joel Tharpe (Kelly), Nicole Lunder (Mitch), and stepsister Alexa Hayden; his grandmother, Edythe Tonnessen (Al); his uncles, Robert Pope Jr., Donald Pope, Michael Pope (Teresa), James Miley, and John Miley; his godfather, Jack Reed; as well as a wide circle of cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by several beloved family members, including his grandfather, Robert Pope; his grandparents, Everett and Heidi Miley; his step-grandfather, George Hayden; his aunt, Susan Rothross; his uncles, Reggie Pope, Kenny Pope, and Bruce Pope; his cousin, Bruce Pope Jr.; and his godmother, Constance “Mimi” Reed.
He graduated from Manatee High School in 2023, completed the Firefighter Academy at MTC in February 2024, then landed his dream job with East Manatee Fire Rescue in 2024.
The stories and memories shared with the family during these dark days have lifted our spirits and burnished our memories of him into something warm and bright—something to keep close on cold nights..
