Ronald Michael Rinaldi born October 26, 1937 passed away on September 1, 2021 with the care from Hospice at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Ron passed away following complications of a severe stroke from which he could not recover. Born in Minersville, Pennsylvania to Peter and Mary (Ruggeri), they moved to Windham Ohio where Ron grew up with his brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Connie, sons Ronald Jr. and Michael (Amy), stepsons Jeffrey (Allison) and Mark (Kris) Latcheran, as well as sisters Carolyn (Richard) Brown, Betty, and Donna (Andy) Berenics. He will greatly miss his grandson Angelo Rinaldi, grandson William Latcheran, and granddaughters Jenna Latcheran DiRienzo (Craig) and Marissa Latcheran. He was preceded in death by his brother Pete (Kathy). Ron was a firefighter for the city of Niles for 26 years and part of a lost generation of butchers. He was a punter for Kent State football for two years when his father passed, prompting him to leave college and pursue meaningful work rather than a degree. Ron never met a stranger, and he loved to tell stories of days when life was very simple, as well as stories of life with funny twists or irony. He enjoyed staying productive with chores around the house, yard and garden, and found delight in fishing and doing crossword puzzles. He enjoyed service in the army in the 1960s. In retirement, his wife Connie taught him to enjoy traveling (domestically and internationally). Ron and Connie had moved to Parrish, Florida one month prior to his passing to simplify their life in an easier climate, and as such, no services will be held for Ron. Kind words and wonderful stories would be appreciated for those who care to share them online.
