William Mark Duncan, 91, of Palmetto passed away August 21st, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Bill was born August 23rd, 1926 in Sodus, New York to Harry and Ramah Duncan. He was predeceased by his wife Delores Josephine, survived by his son Daniel (Michelle) of Palmetto and daughter Denise of Old Town, two grandchildren Tina and Christy and two great-grandchildren. Bill served in the Army during World War II and moved to the Palmetto area after the war where he met his future wife Jo. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and scuba diving with Jo and his many friends. He was a member of Palm View Baptist Church. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s research. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 28th at 10 AM with the Funeral service following at 11 AM. All services will take place at Groover Funeral Home in Ellenton.
