Benjamin Angel Santos was born on August 3, 2007, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to his loving parents, Sergio and Elisa Santos. From the very beginning, Benjamin brought light and joy into the lives of everyone around him. He began his educational journey in preschool, where his curiosity and playful spirit were already shining brightly.
Benjamin was baptized, received his First Holy Communion, and was confirmed at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. He faithfully served as an altar server alongside his brothers from the age of five until he was fourteen, quietly demonstrating his love for God.
Affectionately known as "Ben" and "Benji" Benjamin was goofy, curious, sweet, thoughtful, and completely full of love. He had a playful spirit - he loved playing Minecraft, digging holes, playing tricks, and staying active in sports. At Cactus Middle School, he began playing soccer, and at Vista Grande High School, he proudly joined the varsity football team. He later attended CAVIT to study law enforcement, showing his desire to build a meaningful future.
Determined and hardworking, Benjamin worked out at Powerhouse Fitness, worked to buy himself a car, and was determined to start a detailing business with his cousin Jesus. Over the last year, he developed a strong interest in marketing for small businesses and learning about stocks.
In March 2025, Benjamin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Synovial Sarcoma. Throughout his battle, he showed extraordinary strength, courage, and faith. He never wanted anyone to see his pain - instead, choosing to smile, to joke, and comfort others. He also enjoyed trying to play the guitar, reading books, watching movies, and, of course, eating his favorite foods. Whatever he did, he did with heart. More than anything, Benjamin loved his family. He shared a special bond with his three siblings - his older brother, older sister, and younger brother. He wanted to help everyone who was helping him. He carried so much strength within him and never wanted anyone to see his pain. Instead, he chose to make others smile. That was his gift - even on hard days, he made sure those around him felt joy.
Though our hearts are heavy beyond words, we find comfort in knowing that Benjamin is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord. His light, laughter, and love will remain with us forever. We will carry him in our hearts until we meet again. #BenStrong
